Would you like your child to participate in an international ‘Say Hello to the World’ project? You can speak to your kindergarten teacher and inform her about us, or contact us. We will try to do our best to make it happen.

First video call - Krško (Slovenia) & Sliema (Malta)

Gumbki (Buttons) from Krško kindergarten were well prepared before the first Skype meeting with their new friends. The kids were wondering who they were and what they were like. With the help of the Internet and different magazines, they were looking at photos of children of the world and compared them to each other.
We’ve prepared a wonderful, unique gift for our new friends – a glove with five fingers and their symbol. A gift was sent via mail, along with photographs and palm prints of all the children and we’ve also made a holiday greeting card.
The children learned about geographical differences with the help of the globe and the map. They have also learned two new English words – "friend" and "hello". The kids were happy to listen to the children's songs in the English language and they’ve already counted all the fingers. With the help of a song, the children learned to introduce themselves to their new friends and together, they’ve sang a "What is your name?" song.
The first call was held in a pleasant atmosphere and not only did the children get to know new friends, they’ve also got acquainted with the use of the computer. Our new friends let us know they are happily anticipating what all they will learn with the next video call.
